Bridget Hanley

Bridget Hanley likes painting horses. And  dogs, cats, cows, fox and all those that inspired her when she owned her horse farm in Pennsylvania.  Bridget  retired from her 50 year career of training show horses in Pennsylvania  and moved to Dunnellon FL in 2017. Through her entire life and many different experiences, her passion for art was always present in what she called “her other life”.

Bridget is self taught, but had some formal education through high school and college classes. Her main development came through being inspired by fellow artists she met. Aligning with her art business, Bridget manages her picture framing business.  Her studio is located at her home overlooking the beautiful Lake Rousseau in Dunnellon.

Moving to Florida meant that “her other life” could be a priority. Bridget enjoys the tight, detailed discipline of pen and ink and watercolor, and is a professional calligrapher. But her passion is within the versatility of acrylics. At first, she loathed acrylic, as it “was like painting with toothpaste”. Now she has completely embraced this medium!  Her realistic animal portraits  and landscapes are offset by bold abstracts and acrylic flow art.

Presently, Bridget is the Executive Director of Rainbow Springs Art in Dunnellon. She also teaches classes about all of the different applications of painting, calligraphy, and marketing and promoting art.
