The Poetry of Water – Photographing Movement and Reflection in Nature
Water is one of the most expressive elements in nature. It can appear soft and dreamy, powerful and dynamic, or reflective like a mirror. In this two-hour outdoor photography workshop held in Rainbow Springs State Park, participants will learn how to capture the beauty and movement of water and transform it into poetic visual art.

Students will explore techniques for photographing flowing water, reflections, and abstract patterns created by light and movement. We will practice how small adjustments in shutter speed, composition, and light can dramatically change the mood of a photograph—from silky flowing waterfalls to intricate ripple patterns and luminous reflections.

This class is beginner-friendly and open to anyone interested in nature photography. Cameras and smartphones are both welcome.

Participants are encouraged to bring a tripod if they have one, and a circular polarizing or ND filter if available.

WEBSITE FAQs and refunds

FAQS:
Can I cancel my participation in a class?
Due to popularity, advanced preparation, and instructor availability, there are no refunds. Students unable to attend will receive a one-year class credit form to be presented at the time of registration for a replacement class with the same instructor.

What is a Materials Fee?
Most classes will have the instructor provide all of the materials, unless otherwise specified. This allows the student to try new forms of art without having to invest in supplies. The material fee is paid in cash directly to the Instructor upon arrival to class.
