Seeing the Soul of Nature: Creating Meaningful Fine-Art Nature Photographs
This class is designed for anyone who loves nature and wants to create more emotionally powerful photographs, whether using a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or smartphone. Students will learn how to slow down, observe light, texture, and mood, and photograph nature in a way that tells a story and evokes feeling. We’ll explore composition, perspective, light, and intention—focusing on why an image works, not just camera settings. This class is perfect for beginners, hobbyists, and creatives who want to deepen their connection to nature through photography. (Students bring their own camera or smartphone.)

The class includes:
How to “see” like a fine-art photographer
Finding strong compositions in simple natural subjects
Using light and shadow to create mood
Turning ordinary scenes into meaningful images
Guided discussion using example prints brought by the instructor

Thursday, March 5, 1:00–3:00 pm

FAQS:
Can I cancel my participation in a class?
Due to popularity, advanced preparation, and instructor availability, there are no refunds. Students unable to attend will receive a one-year class credit form to be presented at the time of registration for a replacement class with the same instructor.

What is a Materials Fee?
Most classes will have the instructor provide all of the materials, unless otherwise specified. This allows the student to try new forms of art without having to invest in supplies. The material fee is paid in cash directly to the Instructor upon arrival to class.
