Textile Macra-Weave

MACRA-WEAVING a piece may take me many days sometimes. Because the cords are so long, I weave a little and then I hang the piece by the fireplace, look at it, and try to figure out what direction to go next.
I like the feel of the material moving through my hands, and what comes out at the end, when the cord is transformed into a piece of art.

Artwork 1 - Arrow

HOW THEY GET STARTED
The anchor point can be driftwood, a metal bar, or something else to get the Cow Hitch Knot anchored.

Artwork 2 - Waves

Sometimes the base gives me the inspirationn to develop the design. I like to hunt for these bases, and I have fun looking for "findings" to spread over the piece.

Artwork 3 - Tribal

Macramé is a warm medium, people like to touch it.
I weave with a medium strength tension, pleasant to the touch.
People connect with a kinder world when they include my work n their lives.
