A Walk on the Beach

I love to share my beach findings!

When I go for a walk on the beach or up the mountains, nature is always giving me a little gift.

The day after a storm I would go for a walk with a friend but sometimes we had to throw most shells back because they still had a living animal inside.

I've always loved shells, fossils, and rocks.
My kids, when coming for a visit, will ask me what to bring and I'd say, get me a stick or some rocks.

Recently my son brought me a dinosaur bone, but we don't know what it is yet.

Art is different because it is more personal than the stuff we need to buy.
It has to whisper a message to us!

I visualize the pattern when I look at an object.
Most of my inspiration comes from places where I have lived.

I imagine how I would paint the clouds or the ocean to bring a special feature out.
I love how light changes everything.

God is an amazing artist: He paints moving pictures all the time, and never repeats!

I love to watch the sun set. Here in Florida we often get a burst of colors, like liquid love for the eyes.

Living out West I got hooked on native American tribal patterns and local gemstones.

Painting starts with a focal point. I will get that theme on the shell and start outlining it with "Zen doodles".
