Community Advisor
Walter McLellan

Picture
Walt McLellan graduated from the University of Michigan, then served two years in the Army at Fort Meyer, Va., and was assigned to the President's Honor Guard. He served at President Kennedy's funeral.
Walt retired from a career in marketing/advertising in 2002 and moved with "the love of his life," Jan,  to Rainbow Springs in 2004.
The couple started the Rainbow Springs Villager in 2010 and profiled 25 artists during the first three years. The McLellans asked the artists if they'd like to have a festival and they said, "Yes."
Soon, Dunnellon Councilman Chuck Dillon contacted the group and said he wanted to open an art gallery. The city had just the building -- the former Dunnellon City Library. Both a gallery opened and a festival was held and Rainbow Springs Art in Dunnellon came to be.
