Registration for classes at the Rainbow Springs Art in Dunnellon gallery is in person, by phone during business hours at (352) 445-8547, or online below. The gallery is at 20804 W. Pennsylvania Ave. It’s open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Drawing With Pencil
Students will learn line building, basic strokes, value, contrast, perspective, and composition. Students will create their drawings from still objects, photos, and their own references. Please bring No. 2B pencils, an eraser, and drawing/sketch paper (preferably 11” x17”). All ages and skill levels are welcome. Fridays, Feb. 3, 10, 17, and 24; 1-3 p.m. Cost: $ 40 per class. Watercolor Wednesday
This class is open to the first-timer or the more advanced. Bring a reference photo. Each class discusses a different technique or subject and the application of watercolor. Valentine Cookie Party
Cookie artist Julie Mancini will help you create “Peek a Boo” heart cookies and some conversation hearts, too. She will share her favorite recipes and creative decorating techniques. Wine Cork Tote Basket
Here's another use for wine corks. We will weave a tote with a solid wooden base to hold two bottles of wine or one bottle & two glasses (or anything you wish!) Corks will be pre-drilled for sliding over round reed. Additional round reed will be triple-twined for adding support to the sides. Wear play clothes. Water is used to soak the reed. Learn Photoshop Basics
Learn the basics and the magic of Adobe Photoshop. Students will develop skills to enhance their photos for any application. This is a two-day class. Students must bring their own laptop or tablet and have Photoshop installed. Ocean Resin Art Class
Learn how to mix and move resin with a heat gun to create some beautiful effects on a round piece of wood with a diameter of about 14 inches. Students will embellish their creation with such items as shells, stones, and starfish. Resin is sticky and students will need to wear gloves and old clothes or an apron. A mask is recommended as a precaution, although there are few, if any fumes. Students will leave their work at the gallery until the next day, when it will be hard enough to safely move.
