Erin Sorensen

Erin Sorensen grew up in San Francisco in a family business of European decorative and specialist painters. She has received artistic commissions ranging from historic landmarks to urban art events. For over 30 years, she has worked with many notable clients, contributing to stage and film, music, and event productions worldwide.
Erin also contributes to the artistic community through public art, teaching, community projects, creative facilitation, special needs population projects, wilderness art programs, and curriculum development.
Fine art remains her primary foundation of expression and exploration. Erin draws inspiration and her passion for color and creative motivation from nature and from human interactions with the natural world.
She led the art team in the recreation of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, heading a team of the best painters in England. Erin not only completed the permanent stage decoration but designed and installed a contemporary artistic interpretation of the Elizabethan symbolism within Shakespeare’s work for the International Globe Exhibition Centre.
From traditional medieval paintings at European cultural sites, such as Warwick Castle in the United Kingdom, to contemporary private and public installations, Erin continues to challenge her abilities and knowledge to produce work of creative intelligence and grace.
Fascination with the Rainbow River and other area springs brought Erin to Dunnellon. She is a swimmer and nature lover.
She often works large-scale on murals and mosaics, as well as on smaller, studio works, inspired by nature and the human experience. She is accepting local large-scale art commissions, including custom murals or other installations for public spaces, businesses, or homes, including gardens and children's rooms or play spaces.
Furthermore, Erin offers handmade natural gemstone creations from her Soulstone Adornment collection.
She believes people should adorn their body temples with nature’s grace.
