Tricia Ann Harrison
Two of my great passions in life are photography and the colors and beauty of the world. To capture the colors of the world through my eyes and to share with you, I paint the scenes I photograph. And fascinated with water, I create my paintings depicting water themes.
I was born in Nigeria, Africa, and grew up in the Solomon Islands, Australia, and England, and settled in Florida. My grandfather painted with watercolor. My father was a photographer. I received a camera at an early age and traveled with my family to many countries and many islands, where I fell in love with the island scenery, taking pictures wherever I went.
Although my career was in financial academics, I am an avid beach bum and prefer outside activities. I was often hanging around art classrooms in school and college and was chosen for various art projects.
My work showed up in a poetry book publication about city life, and as illustrations in a children's book. I am also a member of the American Society of Marine Artists.
Oil on canvas is the medium of choice for my creative expressions. I hope you can appreciate the colors and scenes and let your imagination soar, as I do.
