Bob Nerney
As a child, I was always drawing and building things. Raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., I majored in art at the University of Arkansas -- Fort Smith.
Over the years, my interest developed into painting and woodcarving. I carved carousel horses, fashioned stained glass, and created functional decorative painted furniture. My theme has been the Southwest, animals, abstract, and geometric. While in North Carolina, my wife, Marie, and I operated our studio and gallery. There, we did custom painted furniture, decorative painting, and murals for our customers. Our move to Santa Fe, N.M., was an opportunity for our artworks to be displayed in several galleries. After retiring this year after 37 years of critical care nursing, I'm looking forward to producing new artworks. |
